Still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance has been behind every engineering decision we've made. That's the new Roubaix.
You want the best bike money can buy, and that's what this S-Works delivers. We've assembled it with the complete SRAM Red eTAP AXS 12-speed, our Roval Alpinist CLX carbon fiber wheels, the new S-Works Pavé seatpost, a whole S-Works from head to toe, from the Power saddle to the 28mm Turbo Cotton tires. It's absolute perfection.
The new frame offers all the uncompromising performance and the perfect balance between aerodynamics, performance and Rider-First Engineering™. With tube shapes that were born in our FreeFoil shape library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is as aerodynamic as the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure lightness and ride quality, we used a Rider-First design Engineered™ to provide optimal rigidity and compliance in all sizes from 44 to 61 cm. Of course, we saved a lot of weight in the process. We have also left enough space to mount 33mm tyres.
To complement the new frame, we have developed the new S-Works Pavé which is the first aerodynamic seatpost with vertical elasticity. Starting from the same D-shaped design found in the Tarmac, we added flexibility to the top of the seat post and developed a new saddle clamp design in the lowered position in the frame. This makes the vertical elasticity of the rear perfectly balanced with that of the front, so you can enjoy a smooth and balanced ride on any type of road.
The Future Shock 2.0 is the result of the demands of our professional riders for Roubaix paving stones. It's smoother, faster and gives you more control through a dial on top of the power. This dial adjusts the compression from fully open to rigid, while the internal parts of the hydraulic damping control the rebound.
All in all, this latest version will reduce fatigue and increase your speed, no matter what the terrain. The new Smooth Boot, top cap and Future Power all improve aesthetics, so you get a clean transition from the head tube and power.
